Noah Goulet is a composer based in Cincinnati, OH. His music combines postminimalist techniques, spectralist textures and folk elements. Much of his music is a response to the noise of the digital age, the exposure to a constant barrage of information. At times, his music provides a respite from this over-saturation, relentlessly repeating and developing an idea and inviting the audience to direct their collective attention to this process. At other times, the music reflects the crisis of postmodernity, setting up drastically contrasting ideas in opposition to each other and seeing if the form can hold. Many pieces do both.

His works have been performed by ensembles including Eighth Blackbird, JACK Quartet, Old Bay New Music, Ensemble Dal Niente and the Central Ohio Symphony.
